I was in Waterstones, buying some books and the sales assistant pointed to George R. R. Martins' a game of thrones."Are you buying this for yourself?""Yes""It's such a great series!" I nodded and smiled, not wanting to admit that I'd already read them all and was just buying them to read again. . . . ()

Last Friday was my last day working at my old job. It was a strange experience, I'd been there long enough to feel like I'd always be there. There was, as there always is on such occasions, a "presentation". People I worked with crowded into the office to hear a guy on my team say nice things abo . . . ()

I'm starting a new job soon, thus I have five days of work left.In honour of this, and to celebrate the birthday of one of my friends at work, we went for a night out.First time I've seen her outside of work since our other friend left.Which made for a pleasant change. She seemed very interested i . . . It was a quiet weekend.I didn't even leave the house.I did however bake some biscuits and sew up the holes in my socks and jeans. It's not pretty, but it is functional. So yes, I can bake/cook, I can so to an extent, iron my clothes.I can play guitar to some extent, I draw, I write, I even sculpt a . . . Perception is such an amazingly relative thing, especially when related to the senses available to us.I never really understood this until, several years ago, I asked my friend why he didn't get glasses sooner."I thought the world was supposed to be blurry."

It's incredibly strange seeing your problems illustrated in Black and White.

One small problem I encounter at work is that when I smile, people always assume it's a good thing.

I've been feeling crappy lately, not sure if this is because I'm not sleeping well or if I'm ill.Monday was horrible, I walked to work as usual, but it's been warmer than the near freezing weather we've been having lately. It wasn't that warm though, not warm enough to cause me to sweat to the po . . . ()

The Music in my Titles

Darkness, Darkness

Robert Plant

Darkness, Darkness, be my pillow, Take my head and let me sleep
In the coolness of your shadow, In the silence of your deep
Darkness, darkness, hide my yearning, For the things I cannot see
Keep my mind from constant turning, To the things I cannot be
Darkness, darkness, be my blanket, cover me with the endless night
Take away the pain of knowing, fill the emptiness with light
Emptiness with light now

Darkness, darkness, long and lonesome, Is the day that brings me here
I have felt the edge of sadness, I have known the depths of fear
Darkness, darkness, be my blanket, Cover me with the endless night
Take away this pain of knowing, Fill this emptiness with light now
Emptiness with light now

Darkness, darkness, be my blanket, cover me with the endless night
Take away this pain of knowing, fill this emptiness with light now
Oh with light now.
Darkness, Darkness, be my pillow, Take my head and let me sleep
In the coolness of your shadow, In the silence of your deep
In the silence of your deep
In the - oh oh yeah
In the summer baby
come on come on come on baby...
